Marz Attack Pest Control is a locally owned and operated business which was started in 2000 by John and Kate Maher.  We service Cardwell, Ingham, Magnetic Island, Townsville, Thuringowa and outlying areas.

John, along with his business and life partner Kate (who has her own common pest control license No. 12746), have built and expanded the company with hard work and a reputation for honest, reliable service. In the past year they have locally employed two additional fully qualified pest control technicians and a secretary.

John commenced his career in pest control with Flick Pest Control in Townsville before he formed Marz Attack. He is highly trained and qualified in all aspects of General Pest Control and Termite Management. He has an open pest control license No.12308 and has been assessed as having fulfilled the necessary requirements in National Competency Standards 6, 8, and 10, which means he is qualified in the application of pesticides to control pests and to inspect and report on timber pests and their control.

As most people living in the North know, subterranean termites pose a very large threat to the home. Australian termites are among the most destructive in the world, with official estimates indicating that they cause more than a $100 million damage annually. Termites live and travel underground entering homes through concealed mud tunnels. Each termite nest can contain up to 2 million wood eating termites. That’s 2 million hungry mouths that will travel 50 metres or more in search of food.
The best defence against termite attack is early detection. This is why all pest control operators and the Australian Standard recommend at least one inspection every year, more often in high risk areas.

Marz Attack Pest Control has several Termite Management Systems available for pre & post construction, and we can recommend the one that best suits your individual needs and the environment. The most commonly used management system is the chemical barrier which involves installing a full chemical treated zone using Termidor or Biflex around the perimeter of your home.

Physical barriers such as Alterm are generally installed during construction. And if you do not like the use of chemicals around your home, then a baiting and monitoring system such as Exterra should be considered.
